Did I tell you I enjoy painting? You can check out the transformation of my grandma's chair, or our sideboard and even a mural painting if you wish. The crazy idea of making all things bright but painting isn't for everyone, I guess, but I had Isaac, my assistant painter and Jo, who feeds us with his clean hands when we're hungry. The two afternoons spent painting, sanding and waxing were so much fun and when completed, our neighbour auntie was looking at us strangely, saying:" 油好啦？（finished painting?)" which means to say:" think kinda looks incomplete, don't you think?" My husband and I had a good laugh.
irstly I apologise for not taking a "before" photo as I was all ready to get rid of the dark furniture and bring some beach inspired colours into our home as that happens to be my husband's favourite holiday destination. I thought it might just have given us a beach vacation home after 3 hours in one afternoon. No joke. It's that fast and easy! Ask me why and I'll gladly share with you.
This is part of the "I'm so sick and tired of our old looking furniture, let's give it a facelift instantly!" thought coming into action!
This 3-seater sofa, together with two armchairs were given to us from my parents after we moved into our new family home. As far as I can remember, I've had this sofa since I was a kid. How can I bear to throw it away even though the cushion had a messy mixed of repeated pattern? All I needed to do was to give it a new sofa cover, and we're as good as new. We still have it after 10yrs. It's pretty surprising that the excellent craft of inter-locking wood could last for generations.
